2022 SEAOC Convention
The SP3 Team participated in the 2022 Structural Engineering Association of California (SEAOC) conference and was thrilled to have SP3 Senior Associate, D. Jared DeBock, PhD, PE represent our team by presenting one of our latest ground breaking projects: A practical design procedure for steel moment frames with fluid viscous dampers.

12th National Conference on Earthquake Engineering
The SP3 team was thrilled to attend, exhibit and present at the 2022 12th U.S. National Conference on Earthquake Engineering (12NCEE), hosted by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) every 4 years in conjunction with federal and local partners. The convention was held at Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT, from June 27 to July 1, 2022.

New Earthquake Spectra Paper on Functional Recovery
We are proud to announce Earthquake Spectra recently accepted a new paper on post-earthquake functional recovery co-authored by former SP3 team member, Dustin Cook, Ph.D., P.E., and SP3 Co-founder and CEO, Curt Haselton, Ph.D., P.E. This paper comes after 3 years of research by members of the Applied Technology Council (ATC) along with researchers at CU Boulder and accompanies the ATC-138 Functional Recovery (Beta) Method released earlier this year.

17WCEE Presentation
The 2021 17th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (17WCEE) commenced at Sendai International Centre in Sendai, Japan, from September 27 to October 2, 2021 after its original postponement in 2020. This year’s theme focused on “Towards Disaster Resilient Society”, and included both in-person and remote presentations from delegates around the world.
