Seismic Resilience and Risk Assessment of the Simpson Yield-Link® Brace Connection (YLBC) Webinar [Hosted by Simpson Strong-Tie]

New webinar, hosted by Simpson Strong-Tie, as Part 4 of their Yield-Link Brace Connection (YLBC) Webinar Series.  Dr. Curt Haselton co-presented on the implementation of the Simpson Yield-Link Brace Connection in SP3, and discussed how the YLBC can be used to achieve seismic resiliency in steel construction.  Used by many structural engineers, SP3 distills years of research into user-friendly software to enable a comprehensive building-specific seismic resiliency assessment in a matter of hours (and much faster for the initial assessment).  If you missed part one, two or three of this series, view the recorded webinars here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.

In this webinar, you will learn about the new Yield-Link Brace Connection addition into the SP3 software, including the methodology and research behind the SP3 assessment, the structural fragility of the YLBC, structural response prediction engine, and how the YLBC can be used for resilient design for functional recovery in structural steel buildings.

Watch the full presentation from the co-founder and CEO of Haselton Baker Risk Group, Curt Haselton, and Simpson Strong-Tie Director of Strengthening, Jeff Ellis, in this 1.5-hour webinar recorded Q&A session, where you will discover solutions to achieve seismic resilience in commercial steel construction.
