SP3 Presents Resilient Design at 2023 CCEE-PCEE

SP3 Senior Research Engineer, Ed Almeter, presented on resilient design for functional recovery methodologies and steps developed through the recent Applied Technology Council 138 (ATC-138) project (and FEMA P-58) at the 2023 Canadian Conference – Pacific Conference on Earthquake Engineering in Vancouver, BC (Canada). In additional to this approach to resilient design, he showed current example projects that have successfully utilized this method and implemented these steps into practice within the United States.

The Conference was held jointly for the first time with both the Canadian Conference and Pacific Conference and organized by the Canadian Association for Earthquake Engineering (CAEE). This joint event hosted representatives specializing in structural and geotechnical earthquake engineering, seismology, social science and public policy related to earthquakes from across Canada, New Zealand, and around the Pacific Rim.
