New SP3 Resilient Design for Functional Recovery Webinar Series

The SP3 Team kicked off a new webinar series, March 8th, focused on Resilient Design for Functional Recovery.  The goal of this webinar series is to keep industry leaders updated on the many recent developments in this resilient design arena, and to provide you with the tools, background, and training necessary to implement resilient design for functional recovery in your structural engineering practice.

First Webinar: Resilient Design for Functional Recovery using SP3 and FEMA P-58 (+ ATC-138)
Presented by SP3 CEO, Dr. Curt Haselton

Our first webinar in this series discusses how to use SP3 for resilient design for functional recovery (as is being done on projects now).  The webinar also includes discussion of the ATC-138 Functional Recovery Methodology, which is a new module of the FEMA P-58 seismic risk/resiliency assessment method, and is implemented in SP3.  Curt also outlines the steps to resilient design, including structural system selection, design of the structural system, and design of non-structural components in the building.  Specific “common offender” components that frequently cause building function loss were identified, and resilient design approaches for each were discussed in this presentation.  The below recording includes a live Q&A session for audience questions and discussion.

Thank you to all our attendees! We look forward to seeing you in the next webinar in this series (information coming soon).
